Lapis Lazuli is not a single mineral, but a natural rock composed of several minerals. Its intense blue color comes mainly from lazurite, the key component of the stone.

It often also contains:
• Calcite – seen as white streaks or patches
• Pyrite – the beautiful gold-colored flecks that sparkle within the stone

This unique combination is what gives Lapis Lazuli its rich appearance and character. The contrast between deep blue, soft white, and metallic gold makes each piece completely one of a kind.
