In 2019, SBB Cargo International, in collaboration with SüdLeasing GmbH, ordered 20 Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility. The machines are equipped for operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands (DACHINL).
To celebrate the opening of the office in the Netherlands, a machine was given a special design. Among railway enthusiasts, the locomotive is called the “Hollandpiercer”.
