Performer Notes:
- California power pop rockers Redd Kross break a long hiatus with the release of Researching the Blues, their seventh studio album and first collection of new songs in 15 years. Following the release of 1997's Show World, the band's activity became incredibly sporadic, with brothers and founding members Jeff and Steven McDonald mostly acting as producers or backup musicians for other artists, ranging from Beck to the Donnas. Researching the Blues reunites the Neurotica-era lineup of the band, with the McDonald brothers joined by guitarist Robert Hecker and drummer Roy McDonald (no relation). The album will also be Redd Kross' first for indie powerhouse Merge Records.
Professional Reviews: Kerrang (Magazine) (p.54) - "Imagine the lovechild of The Ramones and The Beatles and you'd be close to the sound of their orgiastic riot of melody, muscle and sheer pop suss."
