This is a great pair of Allen Edmonds Normandy cap-toe boots in buttery soft kudu leather with combination leather soles.  This is very similar to the Red Wing Iron Rangers.  This particular color can might be considered a dark, reddish brown.  The name Normandy for these combat boots is meant to evoke the soldiers fighting it out in WWII.  While this is officially the Normandy style, as far as I can tell, it is identical to Allen Edmonds' Caen boots as well.

Kudu is an African antelope that goes through brush and thorns, creating a very distinctive leather with markings and scratches all over it. The leather is amazingly pliable, yet durable. This leather is from the CF Stead leathermakers, the world's premiere source for kudu leather.

These have a combination leather forefoot sole and rubber heel, giving them a very classic look.

Regarding fitting, I usually wear 8.5 in Red Wing Heritage but size 9 in most Allen Edmonds shoes. Generally speaking, you should not size down when buying Allen Edmonds shoes or boots.

These are in fine condition - there are nicks and scuffs here and there, mostly in the heel and toe areas of the leather and soles. I have tried to show these in the pictures but they can be difficult to see because the natural variations in the leather hide them.  As always, please zoom in on every photo to check them for yourself.

These have been stored in a smoke-free home. Please let me know if you have any questions - and be sure to check out my other items as I often have many other similar items in different colors or sizes!
