Commonly excavated in the 1863 & 1864 Atlanta Campaign sites, but have been known to be found in other theatres as well. There are theories that they came from Demopolis Alabama and the raw metal being connected it to the Ducktown Copper mine in Chattanooga Tennessee.
These buttons have been very difficult to come by which consequently motivated us to produce them. Hand cast directly from an example purchased at the Horse Soldier. They are not cheap, but are the finest reproductions ever offered.
