In very good condition considering it's age. It's from the late 18th Century (i.e., 1700's). There is no major damage. Just some light chipping around the edges. The wood finish is gorgeous and the brass top/handle is bright and in great shape. Although it would work, this is more of a display piece and I don't recommend using it to grind your coffee. 

Main wooden body alone stands 6.5" tall and it's 13" tall counting the brass top, handle and knob. Base is 7" square and it weighs 4.5 lbs.
