The Eclogues and Georgics by Virgil, translated by T.F. Royds, is part of the Everyman's Library series.
The Eclogues are pastoral poems, depicting idealized rural life and shepherds' dialogues, often with political undertones reflecting Rome's turmoil during Virgil's time.
The Georgics are didactic poems on agriculture, blending practical farming advice with philosophical and political themes, celebrating rural life and Roman values.
The T.F. Royds translation, published in the Everyman edition, is noted for its accessible prose or verse style, aiming to preserve Virgil's tone for a broader audience.

For buyers outside of Australia:

Multiple purchases can be combined to save on shipping costs.
  1. Purchase, but do not pay for, the items you are interested in.
  2. Use the "Request total from seller" function at checkout. I will update the invoice with the actual shipping amount for the combined order.
(I’m afraid this is the only way to manage multiple book purchases, as the size and weight and shipping destinations vary so much there isn’t a shipping cost template available on eBay to cover all the variables.)

If you prefer, you can send me a message stating which items you are interested in purchasing (please include ebay item numbers) and the country you are in, and I will advise the actual postage cost for the lot.
