Here we have a truly marvelous and Rare 1940 10K Yellow Gold TUDOR/SOLAR Aqua King of Wings Manual Ref. 4453. 

The watch features:

Caseback interior is signed/stamped 10 Karat/0.417, TUDOR, Geneva Switzerland Patented. 

The crown is marked 'OYSTER PATENT'. 

31mm case size, 17 mm lug to lug size. 

17 Jewel swiss movement by Tudor. Caseback signed by Tudor. Serial corresponds to 1939/1940. 

Most likely made for the British or Canadian military. 

Will consider reasonable offers.

The leather strap and clasp are aftermarket replacements. The watch itself is 100% original. 

The watch is in excellent condition for its age and shows minor signs of wear. The watch's manual movement keeps time and doesn't have any known service records.
