Reclaimed from a property in Northaw, Hertfordshire.
Fully restored large antique cast iron fire surround from the late Victorian / early Edwardian period.
With no rear projection and a slight rebate (1" / 25mm) to accommodate an insert if required it is ideal to go against a flat wall or over an existing chimney breast opening
This mantelpiece is a fabulous and elegant fireplace surround with simple clean legs and a substantial original double skinned mantel top.
It has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished with traditional grate polish to bring out its original fabulous features as clearly seen in the photos.
Made of solid cast iron, the whole thing is in excellent condition with a beautiful patina.
There are discreet mounting lugs on the outer body for simple and safe installation.
