This is a set of four soup/chili mugs from Otagiri in the pattern Mirage.  The pattern was produced in Japan, and is described as being rust, tan and brown with brown bands.  These speckled stoneware mugs measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide by about 2 3/4 inches tall.  They comfortably hold 12 ounces (14 ounces to the top) of your favorite soup, chili, chowder, etc.  This is a discontinued pattern and if I had to guess, I would date them from the 1970's-1980's.   Mugs are in good vintage pre-owned condition.  They do have marks. one has a little  chip, another has a pin hole and on on cup the hamd painting  smudged...
