The sad story of a man who devoted his life to acquiring Medallic Art Company medals, in particular the sterling silver version of the Hawaii Statehood Medal, and tried to get this seminal work published in coin magazines to no avail.  This 44-page booklet has 20 different illustrations and 6 different tables.  It is not a medal, and contains no metal or medal.  It is a booklet, saddle-stitched and black and white printed on high-quality paper.  It is truly a sad tale, how so many discoveries were made related to this problematic medal by assembling a large number of them and examining them under electron microscopy and flame emission spectrometry, when the coin and exonumia world believed the large majority of them had supposedly been melted down in great quantities in the 1970s, and no coin magazine would bother responding to requests to publish this work as an article or in-depth study, despite the fact that it was probably the greatest study of a coin or medal ever undertaken in the modern era.  No medal will be included with this booklet.  It comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home and had a total print run of 1.  This is the only issue.  Please don't bid if you don't understand what you are bidding on.  There are no returns on this item.
