Hello, eBay! We pride ourselves on being shenanigan-free eBayers! We don't use altered or stock photos, so you can be absolutely certain that the item in the photos is the exact item you will get. We ship every weekday Monday through Friday (holidays excluded of course), and often on Saturdays too when possible, in order to get your item to you fast. And on the subject of shipping: we offer multiple options for shipping, and all shipping is determined strictly by the specific weight of your item and your zip code as calculated by the eBay shipping calculator (not us). We don't gouge with flat rates and we don't make a single penny from shipping! We also will of course combine shipping if you want multiple items.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and hard to find vintage Detroit Red Wings early 1940's Sid Abel jersey sweater in home red. This was made by Ebbets Field Flannels way back in the 1990s. Ebbets Field Flannels still makes some very nice stuff, but 30 years ago they were far more focused on historical accuracy than style, and this jersey is just about as close as you'll come to getting a real World War Two-era Red Wings jersey without a time machine. That being said, there is a glaring historical inaccuracy that I'm sure eagle-eyed Red Wings fans have already noticed, which is that the "V For Victory" V patch is on both sleeves. The Wings wore the V patch during the entirety of WWII, but I believe it was always in conjunction with another patch on one sleeve, most famously the "Everybody At Least 10% in War Bonds" patch from 1941-42. At any rate, this sweater is intensely cool and screams with awesome retro hockey flare. The number 12 of the great Sid Abel is done in die cut felt, and the crest is done entirely in gorgeous chain stitching. It is a size XXL and still in overall good condition, but it does have the blemish of a few tiny spots, most noticeable at the white of the hem, and the worst of which I've included photos of alongside a pencil tip for scale. These gorgeous EFF hockey sweaters are becoming harder and harder to find the further we get from the 1990s, and it may be years before another WWII style Sid Abel jersey comes along again. Please feel free to ask any questions, and be sure to check out my other listings for more cool stuff, including a few other Red Wings jerseys. Thanks for looking!
