Elegant 19th-century antique hand fan featuring a finely hand-painted countryside scene on paper. The artwork shows figures in period dress enjoying a rural landscape, likely inspired by European pastoral life. The fan is signed “J.R. Ramon”, a signature suggesting a European artist or workshop active in that era.

The sticks and guards are made of carved and pierced bone, richly decorated with gilded floral and scroll motifs. This type of craftsmanship was typical of fans produced for the European market during the mid to late 1800s.
