Smilodon Californicus, or the saber-toothed cat, has been extinct for about 12,000 years and is one of the most iconic prehistoric mammals. A saber-toothed cat’s strength combined with its two lethally long upper teeth made it a fearsome predator. This extinct skull is an exact replica (please see measurements in photos) and includes a solid wood display base for mounting. The skull itself is finished in an antique bone color, a cleaner version of the tar pit variation that can be found elsewhere.
This skull is in fantastic condition. There is some light scuffing on the plaque with the scientific name on it, and the wiring on the jaw is kept loose so it looks as if the cat is ready to take a bite of its prey. Please carefully review all photos for overall condition.
