For sale is an authentic Mike Sweeney game used and autographed Kansas City Royals Big Stick Rawlings Adirondack Baseball Bat. In the middle of the bat is the Rawlings insignia. At the top of the barrel is “BIG STICK MIKE SWEENEY ROYALS” Written on the top of the knob of the bat and on the cup at the top of the barrel is Mike’s number 29 in black sharpie. The knob of the bat also has the model number “491B 782 99” etched into it. The bat is cracked on the upper part of the handle and professionally taped. The bat shows good use with ball marks on the barrel.
Mike has clearly and cleanly signed his name and added his number 29 along with “ROM 10:9” (Bible verse) in black sharpie on the sweet part of the barrel.
Mike Sweeney played the first 13 years of his 16 year MLB career with the Kansas City Royals, first as a catcher and then as a 1st baseman and designated hitter. He was a 5 time All Star and was inducted into the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame in 2015. He hit .297 with 215 home runs and 909 RBI for his career. In addition to the Royals, Mike played for the Oakland A’s, Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies.
