Our client's exceptional pair of antique (late 19th century) patinated bronze busts mounted on rouge marble bases depict lovely females after the original models by the French master, Pierre Louis Detrier (1822-1897). Each signed Detrier. Each 24 by 12 by 8 inches, and 37 lbs. One with impressed mark, AT, possibly the mark of the foundry.
Each in good condition with scuffs, light scratches, light stains, and each with chip losses to the marble where it meets the berryvine bronze motif, and one with partial restoration to clean break on the marble base. Hardware mounts a little loose, but not in need of restoration.
