Good value and extremely tough 700c wheels for touring, commuting, light team tandems and rim brake e-bikes

Rims are the super strong and long lasting Ryde Andra 40 made from aluminium alloy. Black rim colour.  Rim or disc brake use only. Internal rim width 25mm. Suitable for tyre sizes between 30mm and 50mm. 8mm valve hole suitable for Schrader valve tubes and includes a Presta valve convertor. 

This is a popular rim for touring and cross-continental trips. 

Hubs are by Shimano, Cues or Deore according to availability. Centrelock disc mount covers provided .Hybrid/MTB standard 100mm wide front hub and 135mm wide rear hub. Suitable for 8,9 and 10 speed road cassettes and 8-11 speed MTB cassettes. Can also be used with a 7 speed cassette with an additional spacer. A traditional style hub from one of the world's biggest hub makers. Choice of traditional cup and cone adjustable bearings or modern replaceable sealed bearings.

The 36 spokes are high quality Belgian made silver Sapim Race double butted. Made from 100% stainless steel and fastened with solid brass nipples. 

The wheels are built using a 3x (3 cross) pattern which is the best compromise for strength without excess weight.

The wheels come complete with rim tape and Shimano QR skewers. Total wheelset weight is around 2230 grams which is an indication of how robust these wheels are. 

Options:

Sapim Leader spokes - stronger but a bit heavier. Same cost.

Sapim Strong rear spokes for e-bike use - same cost 

Sapim black spokes (of any of the above types) +£20

All our wheels are handbuilt to the same high standards. The wheels are trued to within +or- 0.2mm and spokes uniformly tensioned to within 5% a side.
