STUNNING Remember heroin candy from Woodstock?! 50+ YEARS OLD Extremely rare and notorious and banned 1969 CLASSIC Alberts Hippy Sippys candy! Made the year of the Woodstock festival, Hippy Sippy features a mod polka dot pattern on its label too, very groovy and wild. The plastic container is in the shape of a syringe. These lasted a few months on shelves and were banned and canceled due to parents thinking these were bad influences on their children.
This type of candy are called “sippys” and originated in the late 1960’s, and are associated with drug counterculture. Sippys were made in various forms throughout the 70’s and 80’s as well (and we still have Pixy Stix straws available in our time)! This example has it’s original candy covered chocolate candy beads that are no longer produced, even the candy itself is rare, but of course don’t attempt to eat.
