As noted by Christie's, Boschetti was known for his extremely high quality casts after the antique, and catered to the most discerning Grand Tourists. His workshop exhibited and won awards at numerous international exhibitions, including the Crystal Palace Exhibition in London in 1851 and the Centennial International Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876. Today their works are widely collected and bring the highest prices for Grand Tour subjects. For instance, a signed bronze and marble bust of Caracallas sold at Christie's for $85,000 on June 13, 2002, in lot 63.
Our client has this bronze for sale in their New York City gallery. Prior to using Buy It Now, please contact us so we may confirm availability. Thank you.
