Our client's magnificent paintings on canvas laid on wooden panels dating from the early 20th century are exquisitely painted in oil on gold leaf after the door panels by  Pierre Rousseau in grand boudoir of Marie Antoinette at the Chateau Fountainebleau, completed in 1786.  (Our second and third photos show one side of the room with a door featuring one of the panels).

One signed C. Guilbert.  Each in their original giltwood frame measuring 28 1/8 by 44 by 1 1/4 inches.

Each in good condition.  Frames with nicks, dents, scuffs.  Paintings with craquelure, stains, discolorations, and one with paint losses horizontally near the lower edge.
