The coin is a Constantius II Roman imperial coin from the ancient era, specifically from the period of Roman Imperial rule from 27 BC to 476 AD. Constantius was the son of Constantine 1, the Great who quickly gained control of the full Roman Empire on the death of his father by murdering all of his potential opponents including one of his brothers and many of his male cousins.
