***Please read carefully***

This is not the 2001 released version. This is a toy show prototype and was used at a show for display. This is the only one I am aware of. It is from a former Mattel employee who worked with toy fair samples and booth displays.

There are subtle differences on this version when compared to the 2001 release version. You’ll notice the coloring is different, the plastic for the Emerald City is a different finish, and the Oz does not have the lenticular printing. Also, you’ll notice the wording on the bottom states 1997 and has different wording pertaining to Turner Entertainment.

The lights all work. There is some dried glue on both the character bottoms and the playset from displaying. There are also wear marks and discoloring/markings to both figures and playset.

The figures look to be the same as the 2001 version, except for some coloring and Dorothy does appear different. The bottom stamping is also different and says TEC 97. Dorothy does come apart but can be pushed back together. She appears in the worst condition and also has a metal pin exposed on her hip.

There’s an area where the Emerald City coating has rubbed off, see photo. See photos for other markings.
