Striking large mid-century modern (MCM) Onta Yaki bowl from Japan, featuring a hand-incised spiral center with radial combed patterning and bold turquoise glaze accents. Crafted from stoneware with traditional Onta slip-trailed and carved decoration. Distinctively asymmetrical rim with naturalistic knotted element, typical of studio pottery sensibilities. Base impressed with Japanese potter's seal.

This is a fine example of mingei folk craft from the Onta Valley, where pottery traditions date back over 300 years. A unique collectible piece for fans of Japanese ceramics or mid-century studio pottery.
