This is a beautifully sculpted 54mm (foot to eye) figure of a Late Medieval Knight with Sword, a gold-lined Combat Bascinet Helmet, and Shield. He is wearing a nice white/red tunic over his chainmail and some leather padding under that for more protection. The coat of arms includes the “double cross”, also known as the “Patriarchal Cross”, which shows up in many of the Slovenian/Hungarian Coat of Arms. The Lions and Green space at the bottom of the shield is also a sign of Hungarian/Eastern European themed design- the 3 green “hills” at the bottom are there to represent the Tatra, Mátra, and Fátra mountain ranges in the Carpathian Mountains. A great sculpture filled with history and amazing details and colors would look great in any collection.
