Applications and TPI Selection Guide

This bandsaw blade is suitable for cutting hardwood, softwood, MDF, plywood, and most plastics. Select 4 TPI for thick timber and fast rip cuts. 6 TPI is a general purpose choice for mixed stock. 10 TPI is preferred for thin material and a finer finish. 14 TPI is best for smooth cuts in plywood and MDF. For tight curves, choose a blade width of 6mm (1/4 inch) to achieve a curve radius of approximately 15mm. Wider blades, such as 13mm (1/2 inch), are recommended for straight ripping and resawing. Always match the blade length and width to your bandsaw's specification. All Xcalibur blades are compatible with UK workshop and benchtop bandsaws requiring a loop blade in the selected length.
