Talavera-type hand-painted tiles are made in a place called Dolores Hidalgo in the Guanajuato region of Mexico using a traditional technique. Talavera tiles, also known as majolica tiles or simply azulejos, are very popular not only in Mexico but throughout the world for their unusual character, design, and warm, southern colors.
Due to the hand painting of the tiles and the essence of the technology itself, the individual colors differ in color (e.g. B. yellow may be a light tone or close to orange), the edges do not always have an ideal shape, giving them a rustic character and originality.
