This may be John Heron or Herron, a bookkeeper, born in Ireland in 1829, eldest son of David Herron (1801 - 1882) and Sarah _____ (1810 - 1894). He married Anna Magdalena Schmidt, born about 1835 in Bavaria. John died 5 May 1899  and Anna died in August of 1879 in Troy, New York. Their children include: John Herron (1861 -     ), William Herron (1870 - 1939).

John's siblings include: Joseph Heron (1839 -   ), Sarah Heron (1841 -   ), Robert B. Herron (1842 - 1898), William Herron (1843 - 1907), James Heron (1847 -    ), Margaret D. "Maggie" Herron Swinnerton (1849 - 1916), Mary Ann "Minnie" Herron (1850 - 1880), Martha A. "Mattie" Herron Campbell (1853 - 1882)

This portrait measures 2.5 x 4 inches and comes from the Lloyd photography studio in Troy, New York. Card is in excellent condition for its age, but is not perfect, as expected with a photo over 140 years old. There is aging, spots and staining.
