This is an important “Cushion” Lounge Chair, executed by George Nakashima Studio in New Hope, Pennsylvania c. 1952. The chair’s frame is made of American Black Walnut with walnut spindles, and it has a seat made of birch plywood. The chair features two new cushions upholstered in an off-white fabric. It is guaranteed as an authentic Nakashima example. The chair will be accompanied by its original order card from the Nakashima Studio.

This chair measures 30.5 inches deep, 24 inches wide, and 33 inches high. It has a seat height of 16 inches. There are some minor surface blemishes, and there is a small white spot on the surface. The wood has a beautiful patina throughout. Overall, this chair is in very good to excellent condition. Please see photos.
