ANNEAU DE LUMIERE LE PETIT PARISIEN GRAND ROMAN SCIENTIFIQUE D'AVENTURE Conquête Spatial MARS SATURNE

ANDREINI O.

" SUPERB AND VERY RARE POSTER OF A GREAT SCIENTIFIC NOVEL ON THE CONQUEST OF SPACE IN 1921 Léon Miral, pseudonym of Léon Jacob (1858-1942) is a novelist and playwright. He also worked as a journalist in the press, notably in Le Petit Parisien. A. Viger, pseudonym of Alphonse Berget (1860-1933), physicist and oceanographer, published many popular science works. The two authors wrote together a major serial for Le Petit Parisien, "L'Anneau de Lumière", published from November 6, 1921 and ending on February 4, 1922. This serial will be reprinted in installments from 1922 by the Librairie Contemporaine, as well as in volume by Hachette, the same year, under the title "L'anneau de Feu", with, however, some modifications. The version presented in this new edition faithfully reproduces the original version published in Le Petit Parisien. This novel of anticipation and adventures, in the style of Jules Verne, tells the story of the conquest of the celestial worlds, Mars and Saturn, carried out by the French, in spite of German competitors.
