I am Simon Shimomura. I have developed my own custom frame for ABU Ambassadeur 2500C model.

They come in two different finishes, one in chrome mirror, and the other in CDL-mirror finish.

The frame comes in my custom reel box.

I redesigned my own custom frame lighter than ABU original, stronger, giving an offset frame foot assembly, while maintaining ABU's original beauty of a Thumbar.

 The weak point of the ABU's frame was broken triangle construction.  They placed a rectangle shape Thumber instead of a round pillar. The rectangle is much weaker than the round pillar against the pressure from side. That is the basic known fact in dynamics. 

 

I gave an extra support to the frame in my own design while maintaining the beautiful Thumbar ABU originally created.

My Thumbar was designed finalized after three years of development. 

They were made in Japan.

Weight: 30g (1.06 oz) only. cf ABU frame has 50g (1.8 oz).
