Custom Machined V-stack Adapter And Foam Filter Upgrade For Echo 2511 Chainsaw
V-stack provides more torque and revs.
Foam filter provides clean intake air, unlike the stock filter that is known from passing a lot of fine dust in these saws leading to premature cylinder plating wear on the intake side. Please see the pics of that wear - I've seen it happening in many used 2511 saws with the stock air filter, there was always a lot of fine dust inside the saw motor unit, and there was always some plating worn out on the intake side. Filters were upgraded with the plastic cap to prevent from damages (see the pic 2 and 3)
Oiled foam filter will stop any fine dust and provide more flow. Filters been tested in the toughest conditions like a rain, damp, mud, filter was covered with a fine saw dust and saw still worked great anyway ! Stock air filter once is wet from the rainy conditions will cause the saw not working correctly, losing a power in the cut, won't stay idling, its because of the wet sawdust that almost completely will clog the air filter decreasing the flow of the engine a lot.
Spare filters aren't expensive too if needed to be replaced due to major damage, or just to keep as a spare. 40mm diameter collar foam filter is required. Oil is most important, oil is what makes it working, without the oil foam filter not gonna work. Don't be confused, that foam filter is made of is much stronger than washing up sponge or something, its much harder to tear it apart, however there's a risk of damage to the foam due to work environment, good news is that these filters aren't expensive, well worth of the money for the upgrade you're getting from the V-stack and foam filter.
Once foam filter is washed, you will need to apply a fresh filter oil, I recommend Belray filter oil. However you not gonna have to wash the filter often, definitely less maintenance required comparing to the stock filter. Filter needs washing once its gonna be all packed with a fine dust inside the foam and restricting the flow drastically. Washing procedure is pretty much straightforward, just a warm water and washing up bleach, soak it, squeeze it like a sponge until its gonna be clean, dry it, apply fresh oil and you're ready to go!

You will need to cut the hole in the rear cover to fit, you can send me the cover and I can cut it for you too if needed.
