The repair coupling fits the following actuators AP-VMA1440-0, AP-VMA1420-0, AP-VMA1410-0, M9124-GGA-2, M9124-AGC-2, M9216-HGA-2 and M9216-BGA-2
These couplings are a common failure point and often the cause of your actuator not driving when voltage is applied.
This coupling fits a wide range of JCI Brand chilled/heating water valve actuators, air damper actuators and VAV box actuators. Not all compatible models are listed in the description. As we identify additional compatible models we will add them below. If you find this coupling is compatible with a model not listed, please let us know so we can add it to our list!
To replace the coupling, you must remove the front cover of the actuator to access the cylindrical silver motor. A Torx and Philips head bit will be needed to remove the small black screws. The coupling goes between this motor and the first gear. Simply push the hex end of the coupling onto the matching motor end and slide the slotted gear in the opposite end. Then you can reinstall the motor while giving a light twist to align the gears. It's always best to make sure no small pieces of the old coupling were left inside where they could become caught in the gears. Some motors are held in place by screws, while other actuator models use a small metal strap and zip tie. If your actuator uses the same coupling depicted in the last photo, then this will be the compatible replacement part.
