This is a signed first edition in good condition.  It was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1940.  This book has been rebound.

The book appears to have been inscribed by Stella Morton to her children.

Book - Good - rubbing/bumping/wear to the corners, edges and covers, a spine lean, slight marking to the covers, opens v.easily to a few pages (binding showing through in one place), some marking to the page edges, some foxing/discolouration to the page edges and most pages, slight darkening to the top page edges and soft even tanning to the pages.
