1. Side one contains a very famous speech by The Duke of Windsor (the former King Edward VIII of England) from May 8, 1939 delivered from Verdun, France

This was a famous speech, as described in Wikipedia:

"In May 1939, Edward was commissioned by NBC to give a radio broadcast (his first since abdicating) during a visit to the First World War battlefields of Verdun. In it he appealed for peace, saying "I am deeply conscious of the presence of the great company of the dead, and I am convinced that could they make their voices heard they would be with me in what I am about to say. I speak simply as a soldier of the Last War whose most earnest prayer it is that such cruel and destructive madness shall never again overtake mankind. There is no land whose people want war." The broadcast was heard across the world by millions. It was widely regarded as supporting appeasement,[99] and the BBC refused to broadcast it. It was broadcast outside the United States on shortwave radio and was reported in full by British broadsheet newspapers."

This disc contains a rebroadcast of the speech over WJZ, New York.  After the speech, the WJZ announcer states "Station WJZ has just repeated an electrical transcription of the radio address delivered by The Duke of Windsor earlier today.  The address was repeated because of the many requests and the interest showed by listeners who missed the earlier trans-Atlantic broadcast"

2. Side two contains excerpts from two radio broadcasts, possibly from the same date of May 8, 1939.  The first excerpt is for a remote broadcast of Paul Martin & His Orchestra.  This excerpt contains the first 4 minutes of the broadcast and includes the program introduction and the complete song "Hawaiian Paradise".  The second excerpt is from a radio program titled "Meet The Bands On Columbia's Dance Hour".  This is the first 4 1/2 minutes of a 45 minute show and includes the show introduciton and Ozzie Nelson & His Orchestra performing "My Heart Belongs To Daddy".  The recording fades out for a few seconds on this song
