Vintage Ship in a Glass Bottle - Maritime Folk Art Embossed "Fox’s Syrup 1874"
This vintage ship in a bottle is a rare piece of maritime folk art that will surely be a great addition to any collection. The sailing ship appears to be made mostly of wood and there is a lighthouse or beacon also inside with the ship. The bottle measures approximately 11 inches. The date "1874" is embossed on the bottle. "Fox's Syrup" and "One Quart" are also embossed on the bottle. Selling as found, & as is. The bottle is in good condition, but there are some subtle scratches/flaws due to age. It is a simple ship diorama and it is amazing that this bottle has lasted so long. Please view all photos.
The country/region of origin and type of ship are unknown, adding to its mystery and allure. Please see the pictures.
