Genuine Roman “As” minted in Nemausus (modern day Nîmes, France) by the first emperor Augustus from 10-14 CE. It features the portraits of the emperor Augustus (right) and his trusted general Agrippa (left). The reverse shows a chained crocodile with the letters “COL NEM” over it (which translates to Colonia Nemausus). Although this example is not great, it is still a rare coin. Nice ones will fetch $200+. I’ve included an example of a nice one in the photos solely for reference. RIC I Augustus 160. It weighs 9.84g.
