These phones have been tested and professionally remanufactured.  They were remanufactured when the Top Housings Were Available so you're getting a phone with a New Plastic Top as Opposed to a Painted Top.  Keep in mind, these phones were new 40 years ago so plastic replacement parts aren't likely to ever be available again.  

Your phone will come with a Newly Painted OEM Handset, New 12 Foot Gloss Black Handset Coil Cord and New 8-Conductor Factory Line Cord along with the New Designation Strip and Plastic Overlay to give it it's final new look.  Each phone will be tested again prior to shipment as electronic equipment can and will go bad from time to time just sitting on the shelf and NONE OF US wants a return.  We ship these individually boxed with generic labeling and we can, do and will Drop Ship for you.

The Merlin HFAI-10 (Hands Free Answer on Intercom) does NOT provide a 2-Way Speakerphone EXCEPT on it's Intercom Channel and then only when the feature button has been selected to do so.  In other words, if someone calls your extension on intercom (from within your Merlin System) and you have your HFAI button selected then you will be able to respond by voice without touching your phone.  It does have a speaker that will allow you to set the receiver down while someone has you on hold and hear when your party comes back but at no time will this speaker ever allow you to converse back and forth via speakerphone with an outside party.  If you need the 2-way speakerphone, please look at any of the Merlin BIS (Built In Speakerphone) type sets.....specifically the BIS-10....it is near identical in appearence and function and does provide the 2-way speakerphone for all calls.
