George Nakashima, signed; Soul of a Tree: A Woodworker's Reflections w/ Extras
Three items included in this sale, please read description carefully.
1) Signed by George Nakashima Soul of a Tree, dated March 26th 1983 First Edition dedicated "To Carl and Shirley" Very good, clean, tight and unmarked copy. Dust jacket has some light shelf wear with wrinkled back cover.
2) Original Nakashima furniture price list, dated March 15th 1961 very rare to find.
3) A scrap, off cut of Wood (walnut) from Nakashima. For many years we would visit the Nakashima compound view the giant slabs of wood and visit the showroom. Back then (and possibly now?) they had a fireplace in the showroom the small of the burning wood seemed unique and different, it was because they were burning the scraps of exotic woods.
They allowed me to take a few piece in the scrap pile. This piece was from Nakashima.
