Fantastic early 19th century snuff or possibly pomade or dentrifice/tooth powder jar. This 4 inch tall by one and 7/8 inch base diameter blown, gilt and white case glass jar or bottle probably held snuff given its size, but might also have been used for a hair product or possibly tooth powder. It is far too large to have been a perfume bottle. Generally good condition with some losses to the gold decoration on the cased outer layer. There’s a very small blemish, possibly a flake or an in manufacture bruise to one panel near the lip. A rare early bottle, probably made in England or France, right around 1830. Buyer to pay $12.95 insured shipping within the US or one priority international.
