This is a rare disc containing two songs by Doc Evans & His Orchestra
This is a 13 1/4, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum disc. Side one of the disc is recorded at 33 1/3 rpm, side two of the disc is recorded at 78 rpm. The original envelope indicates this is a glass based disc, however the disc is aluminum based
The recordings originate from The Continental Club in Milwaukee. It does sound like a live audience as there is some faint audience noise before each song begins
I suspect the disc is circa late 1940's
Side one features the song "Jazz Band Ball" recorded at 33 1/3 rpm. Time is approximately 6:20. Sound on this side is Excellent or better
Side two features the song "Milenberg Joys" recorded at 78 rpm. Time is approximately 5:20. Overall sound is Excellent with exception to a recording defect that lasts a couple of seconds about halfway through the song
I don't know any of the band personnel
Disc is in Excellent Condition. There are wrinkles in the original sleeve which are visible in the scans
Please note that due to it's 13 inch size, this disc may not play on most standard turntables. I will make a CD of the disc for the buyer only
