xxxxx:We are pleased to offer this magnificent vintage ‘Raku’ art pottery vase by artist potter ‘Tony Evans’ brilliantly created in a abstract form. The piece is a limited production run produced in1984 thru 1986, signed and numbered at the bottom by “Evans” - 187.

Observations:

xxxxx: The particular colors, style, and design in this ware is traditional of Evans pieces. The motif is abstract, with the appearance somewhat like that of an iceberg capturing the reflection of the northern lights. The vase was thinly potted and fired at a relatively low temperature, artistically painted in vivid over-glazed enamel colors and sealed with a protective glaze. The piece is overall in pristine condition, with the exception of minor surface abrasions when cast.

xxxxx: Note: The vase is signed at the bottom in silver “Evans Raku 187” (Limited production run - 1984-1986).

Observation: Typical of hand-crafted pottery, there are a few normal potter blemishes, and kiln production blemishes, including warts, dimples, and pits on the interior and exterior walls. Overall it's an exceptionally attractive piece and a well-preserved specimen of Evans Pottery Art.
