This beautiful squared off collar is ivory colored. It's made of semi sheer fabric which has been shaped to look like a flower, the petals embroidered  to show their edges and veins, Openwork lace separates the flowers in places and forms a ring around the embroidered center of the blooms. The collar is 15 1/4 inches across and 19 1/4 inches from top to bottom laid flat. The neck opening is 5 inches in diameter, and the distance from the lower edge of the neck to the bottom is 6 1/4 inches. I don't know enough about embroidery to guess at technique or age. The faux mother of pearl button is clearly contemporary, but may have been added at later date. The collar could be worn, but is not in perfect condition. There are some small tan spots o to the center left of the neck - see photo, and when viewed close up, the openwork has some wear on the tiny threads
