This is a Studio-Crafted Walnut Coffee Table, executed by Sculptor Peter Michael Adams in the 1970s. The undulating, ribbon-like base of the piece was created utilizing coopered construction, and is as much of a piece of art as it is a functional coffee table. While not a true boomerang in shape, the unusual curved top allows for ease of use on both sides. The artist has an undergrad from Harvard, but chose to relocate to Tasmania in 1984 where he has become well-known for his public seating installations.
This table measures approximately 23.75 inches long, 51 inches wide, and 17.5 inches high. We have intentionally left this piece in its original condition to showcase its history. The top shows some light scratches and scuffs. If so desired, we can have the top refinished prior to shipping for a modest charge. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
