Philatelic emission on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Louis Vuitton Foundation building. The building is an architectural work by the American-Canadian architect Franck Gehry.Text of the philatelic document written by the Fondation Louis Vuitton: From an initial sketch pencil on the blank page of a notebook, Franck Gehry imagined "a magnificent ship that symbolizes the cultural vocation of France". With its 3,000 m2 of galleries and its 12 glass sails, it has become an iconic building of the capital. The Louis Vuitton Foundation is committed to making art and culture accessible to all. In order to promote artistic creation at the national and international levels, it presents each year two temporary exhibitions that mark the highlights of its programming. Twenty-six exhibitions have been presented over the last ten years. In addition to large exhibitions of modern art ("The Keys of a Passion", "Icons of Modern Art, the Shchukin Collection", "The Courtauld Collection: The Party of Impressionism", "Icons of Modern Art, the Morozov Collection"), she offers exhibitions dedicated to emblematic artists ("The New World of Charlotte Perriand", "Cindy She. The Centennial Exhibition, "Mark Rothko", "Ellsworth Kelly. Forms and Colours, 1949-2015) and offers a look at today's stage in France and in the world ("Chinese artists at the Louis Vuitton Foundation", "Art/Afrique, la nouvelle atelier", "Au tuapason du monde", "Crosing Views"...).Furmedly, the Open Space programme, initiated in 2018, invites young national and international artists to imagine a specific project for the Foundation, in dialogue with the building of Fran. In parallel, in the Auditorium, a musical programme is available throughout the year with about twenty concerts, masterclasses, recitals, etc. Thus, for ten years, the Louis Vuitton Foundation offers a varied artistic programme, accessible to all, which attracts a large and constantly renewed audience.
