Our client's Qing dynasty Chinese vase with beautiful blue/red/violet flambe glaze with gilt bronze mounts measures an impressive 18 1/4 by 10 3/4 by 7 1/4 inches and is in very good condition.  It has a baluster shape and four-lobed body (a rare shape for a gu vase of this style which are more commonly rectangular-shapped) and later French foliate bronze handles, base and rim.  Underside shows worn jian ding certified Chinese export approval seal.  Bronze has a French bronze application mark in form of an oval with crown over crossed flame and sheath of wheat over year 1866. 

Provenance:  Christie's.

In very good condition.  Rubbing/oxidation wear to the gilt surfaces.  Dirt in crevices.  Scuffs and scratches.  Old repair to porcelain of one handle as shown in our closeup.
