The famous tomb and its hidden secrets
On November 4, 1922, the English archaeologist Howard Carter made one of the most important discoveries in the history of archaeology: the almost intact tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. He brought to light around 1,000 well-preserved grave goods, including the death mask of the young pharaoh.
