This is a Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic commemorative silver coin set, issued by the Japan Mint.
The set includes both the Olympic and the Paralympic designs, each originally released separately, and offered here together as a complete two-coin set.

These coins were issued in 2016 to commemorate the handover from the Rio 2016 Games to Tokyo 2020.
They are Japan’s first commemorative coins with full-color designs on both sides, making them especially desirable among collectors.

The Tokyo 2020 Games were postponed due to the pandemic and held in 2021; however, the official name “Tokyo 2020” was retained for all logos and commemorative items.
