This Hard Wearing, Professional Code operated Door Entry Kit is ideal for people who want to control access to authorised personnel through a door by using a personal PIN code - when a correct PIN is entered in to the unit it operates the lock granting access to the user. The keypad is constructed from poly-carbonate with Stainless Steel, Back-Lit Illuminated Keys (a real help in poorly lit areas) and is weather and dust proof to IP67.  The keypad has the ability to store up to 10 user codes.

This kit is supplied with a FAIL SAFE SURFACE MOUNTED Solenoid Bolt that requires power to be applied to the lock for it to lock and remove the power to open the lock (similar to a maglock), so if the power fails on site or an optional green emergency lock release call point is activated then the door will unlock, however, if you would like to lock to keep operating as normal through a power cut you can add a rechargeable battery (not included) to the power supply to support the system for a limited time through the power cut.

Our solenoid bolt kit works by holding the door in place with a throw bolt, as soon as the exit button is pressed or the correct code is entered on the keypad, the bolt retracts so that the door can be opened, after a programmed time the bolt is ready to lock again a sensor  in the keep prevents the bolt from locking when the door is open. The sensor in the bolt will prevent it from locking if the bolt is out of line, this is triggered by a magnet in the locking plate fixed to the door frame. This simple but effective solution ensures the bolt will only lock when the door is closed and the lock is in line.
