Opal is October birthstone. This stone is natural Australian opal and untreated! so great as birthstone and simply for an opal lover! natural Australian Semi black/darker body tone Lightning Ridge crystal and semicrystal opals! please see photos and video, and the beads are all different in translucency and shade from darker body to lighter and some of them have crystal body and some not. the beads are from 7.5 to 4.8mm - it is graduated necklace and total of beads approx 71.95TW with the gold weight/14.39g - please see photo. diamonds are quality and approx 1.3mm each/please also see photos bext to the ruler and for french hallmark/ clasp works well. the length approx 16.9” when clasped. strung on a nylon translucent cord matching the translucent beads. I would recomend to have it restrung on a cord with knots for security as it is old cord ( although it is not stretched but to have these precious beads safe I would recomend to restrung it). we can professionally restrung it for you and it will take approx 7-10 days.
all photos and video taken in day light near a window. with stronger light/sun the neon flashes will be stronger as with all opals. it is well known fact that opal round beads are very hard to carve with a lots of waste of precious material. for this reason in our days no one really makes Australian opal round beads any more. all of the Australian opal beads necklaces are very rare to find for sale today and they all vintage or antique. i will be listing few more australian opal beads necklaces. please do not confuse with Ethiopian opal beaded necklaces. there are plenty of those on the market today. Ethiopian opals were founded in 80s and they absorb water and change transparency.
