This issue was bagged and boarded from the date it was Signed as a favor for this seller at Dodger Stadium by WORRELL back on April 23, 1994...over 30 years ago.

My 15-year old Son & I attended the April 23rd game at Dodger Stadium, arriving early in hopes of getting a chance to talk to some of the Players. (Those two Ticket Stubs are included in this auction.). We had good field level seating, giving us a chance to go down to the rail and try to strike up some conversation. We were fortunate to be able to speak briefly with some, but Todd WORRELL was very generous with his time in talking with us. He asked if we’d like him to sign anything, and we gladly accepted his offer. However, all we had was the Dodger Program we’d purchased upon our arrival. Todd kindly signed the cover for us…even though Worrell was not on the cover, as the cover photos featured Delano DeShields.

TODD WORRELL is remembered as a big guy, and awesome closer. Injuries and surgery interrupted his great career, but he was able resume his impressive career. Drafted in 1st Round by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982, he went on to play in the National Lesgue from 1985 thru 1997. Voted National League Rookie of the Year in 1986. He played as the Cardinal’s Closer until signed by the Dodgers in late 1992 where he played until retirement in 1997.

Voted a 3-time All Star (2 of those years with the Dodgers in ‘95 & ‘96). He led all National League pitchers in Saves with 44 in 1996.
